Mexican Vigilantes Arrest Corrupt Police, Fighting Back Against Drug Cartel in Their Town

Yesterday a group of 600 citizens who were fed up with the living in fear of the Knights Templar Drug Cartel who had been controlling the town of Paracuaro (in the Mexican state of Michoacan) took matters into their own hands.

They armed themselves and stormed the town, arresting corrupt local police who had been working with the cartel and seizing their weapons. The vigilantes were joined by courageous locals who were more than ready to take back their town.

The vigilantes drove into town in black armored vehicles, yelling, “Don’t be frightened, we are vigilantes”, and proceeded to expel all known drug traffickers in the town, as well as anybody known to be working with them.

    1. My thoughts exactly. Even the officers of the “special” federal drug task force are regularly found to be in the pockets of the cartels. Not sure the people have many other options at this point.
